Do you know that in Cusco are still discovering Inca cultures until today? The Cotacalle culture or  Qotakalli in Quechua was developed approximately 500 years ago A.C. But like most cultures, they were dominated by the Incas and then became part of their civilization. Currently the site of Cotacalle is located in the southeastern part of Cusco in the upper part of the street of Agua buena in the district     of       San Sebastian, and the Ministry of Culture of Peru has been doing works of excavation and exploration of the place,  finding every day lithic objects and Inca and colonials instruments. . This place is located in the Inca road to the Apu (sacred mountain / divinity) Huanacaure, place where some legends say the culture of the Incas was originated, reason why there are many sacred objects of veneration to the Pachamama (mother earth ). According to theories, this culture was part of the Wimpillay civilization, which was one of the first to settle in the territory of Cusco. Currently the citadel of Qotakalli is made up of buildings (houses) and very well designed roads and until a couple of years ago they only knew a couple of buildings and it was thought that only those two existed however thanks to the work of archaeologists today we know that there are more than fifty homes and the work is still going on, waiting in a short time to discover the complete wonderful city of Cotacalle. We invite you to know this civilization with us and do it in a responsible way and respecting the work of archaeologists, so that the culture is transmitted from generation to generation.
