EASTER IN HUARAZ AND CALLEJÓN DE HUAYLAS:
It´s one of the Huaraz main holidays. It is celebrated in March and April, it is a traditional festival and one of the most important of the Ancash region and also in Huaraz. There are processions that remember the life and passion of Christ.
SEÑOR DE LA SOLEDAD:
It is celebrated from May 2 to 10, it is a patronal feast of the city of Huaraz, It’s celebrated with many cultural events and dance festivals, fireworks, and a lot of parties throughout the city.
CARNIVAL HUARACINO:
It is celebrated in February in all of Huaraz and it consists of parade of dancers, parades of allegorical cars, and it is played with water wetting people of the opposite sex.
ADVENTURE FESTIVAL:
Celebrated in Huaraz from June 28 to July 1, is organized by the Dircetur de Ancash, consist in international competitions of: Ice Climbing, Demonstration of canyoning, palestra and other adventure sports, also held food fairs and tourist parades.
TOURISTIC FESTIVAL “CHAVÍN MILLENARY AND MYSTICAL “:
It is celebrated in Huari from July 15 to 20, socio-cultural activities are carried out and tourism is promoted to the archaeological center of Chavín.
